Problems with shadows, new layouts and freebie.

Hi, hello:)

Well, I have for you something. To, which lately has made me a little trouble.

How to avoid ugly stroke on resized elements.

Recently I started to make my new kits with shadowed elements (there are the same elements without shadows too). They should be more friendly for beginners so they won’t need to create shadows by themselves but also could be a bit of help for advanced designers who are in hurry.

When I tried to paste such shadowed elements on the papers and resized them, then suddenly I have noticed thin annoying stroke around them:

Here is 200% view to see it clearly:

Original element shown at 100% looks clean, without any stroke:

After some investigation (with help of my husband) I have discovered that problem lies in default Photoshop settings (tested under CS3 and CS5).

Go to Edit -> Preferences -> General and at default Image Interpolation is set to Bicubic (best for smoothing gradients):

Now set Image Interpolation to Nearest Neighbor (preserve hard edges):

Try again and paste element on paper and resize it, you will see that ugly stroke is gone now :)
Here is 200% view for it:

And I would like show you new LO's form freebie kit
